2012 Missouri State Fair Boer Goat & Meat Goat Changes
I want to notify the Missouri Boer Goat Breeders and Meat Goat Exhibitors in the state of the changes that have taken place for the 2012 Missouri State Fair.
All Boer Goats will enter Gate 11 (Off of 65 Hwy just North of Railroad Bridge) and report to the Horse Barn on the southeast corner of the Fairgrounds for unloading, health inspection with wether weigh-in beginning at noon on Sunday, August 12th.
4-H/FFA MEAT GOATS
10. Substitutions are allowed within the same class entered, only. Substitutions must be made by July 26, 2012. NO EXCEPTIONS.
11. Market goat wethers should be clipped prior to arrival with hair no longer than 1/4 inch. An inspection will be required at unloading.
12. Drenching will not be allowed except when authorized for health reasons by the State Veterinary. Violation of this rule may result in any or all of the following:
A. Withholding of payment for the animal, premiums and awards.
B. Suspension from future exhibiting at the Missouri State Fair for a length of time to be determined by Missouri State Fair Commission or the Director of the Missouri State Fair on behalf of the Commission. Suspensions can be for any length of time and may be permanent.
C. Probationary exhibiting at the Missouri State Fair for a length of time and under such terms and conditions to be determined by Missouri State Fair Commission or the Director of the Missouri State Fair on behalf of the Commission.
D. Assessment of any other penalty determined by the Missouri State Fair Commission or the Director of the Missouri State Fair on behalf of the Commission.

12:00 p.m. 4-H/FFA wether health check & weigh-in - Horse Barn
5:00 p.m. Boer Goats must be in place
Monday, August 13
12:00 noon 4-H Wether Goat Show - Swine Pavilion
FFA Wether Goat Show - Swine Pavilion
(immediately following 4-H wether show)
12:00 noon FFA Boer Goat Showmanship - Swine Pavilion
4-H Boer Goat Showmanship - Swine Pavilion
(immediately following FFA showmanship)
4-H/FFA Breeding Boer Goat Show - Swine Pavilion
(30 minutes after the conclusion of the Wether Show,
in 2 show rings)
Tuesday, August 14
8:00 a.m. Open Boer Goats - Swine Pavilion
Boer Goats released following Open Show
Wednesday, August 15
8:00 a.m. Boer Goats must be out of barn.
